A warm welcome to Chesterhouse School – as a new, pioneering school in Durbanville, in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, we feel privileged to be a part of the most exciting educational facility in the area.
Chesterhouse comprises three schools within the Chesterhouse International Schools banner – the Early Years Development Centre from the age of four years, the Chesterhouse Junior School from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and our College from Grade 8 to Grade 12 and enrols children from four years of age to 18 years of age when they complete their matriculation year. Chesterhouse is a co – educational facility enrolling boys and girls in all three schools.
Our internationally recognised British curriculum in the Early Years and Junior School phases forms an excellent preparation for the Cambridge curriculum and examinations in our College.
Much has been said about education in the last decade – about quality, about content and ultimately about the whole experience for children; their parents who make an investment in their family’s future and about the teachers who prepare our youth for their lives ahead of them. As seasoned and passionate educators, we at Chesterhouse have chosen this internationally acclaimed curriculum because we know without a measure of doubt that it is the best preparation for your child; for tertiary education, for the workplace, for individual achievement and success and most importantly for life.
As you search through our website, please take a look at what each phase of our school so excellently offers your child; whether for your little one entering school for the first time or your adolescent beginning the High School phase, or indeed anywhere in between then. It is in discovering what we offer educationally that you will understand that our model is indeed a well established, well monitored international system that will ensure your child leaves us a happy individual having achieved their potential – be that academically, in sport, in culture and in any other area in life that they enjoy and are good at. As a school with a Christian ethos, we see this as our duty to involve our children and staff in our outreach programmes, a very important facet of Chesterhouse School. As you browse through our website, please take a look at the outreach programmes in the Junior School and College, our adopted rural school Blue Mountains and the Gryphon Trust, the development trust that affords those less privileged, an opportunity to engage and be a part of our warm and nurturing school.
We welcome you to contact Chesterhouse for a personal visit and look at the school to perceive the feel of our school, see our children hard at work and play and meet and greet our teachers and supporting staff.
