Please follow these easy steps to apply for your child to enrol at Chesterhouse. We urge you to do this as soon as possible to avoid the agony of waiting lists when your little one is school ready. Once we receive an application form from you along with the R500.00 registration fee, the application form remains with us for as long as you intend it so. It is not our policy to discard of forms unless you specifically instruct us to do so.
- Complete an application form. You might want to obtain one from the school. If so contact Monica Dunk on 021 975 6650 for an application package and an individual tour around Chesterhouse or contact Joan Norton on 021 975 6650 in our Junior School.If you wish to complete an electronic application form, click on the highlighted link to submit this directly to our Junior School secretary. Remember that all information must be completed on the form so as to avoid delays in ensuring enrolment for your child.
- Please pay R500.00 either at our school or electronically. Our bank account details are available on our Fee Structure Schedule/ Fees Structure 2012. Please click on the highlighted link to peruse the Fee Schedule.
- Once your form has been submitted, your child will be placed on our enrolment list.
- In the July of the year before enrolment, we will contact you and make an appointment for a Diagnostic Test. Please be assured that this is not an entrance test, but a measure for diagnosis from our teachers. This forms part of our philosophy that every child is a unique individual. By spending 20 minutes with one of our Nursery Class teachers, they are able to get to know more about your child and be better informed about the little person that they will teach and play with in the following year.
- Once this is done, our Head of the Junior School, Ann Cordner, will write an Offer of a Place letter to you, informing our acceptance of enrolment.
- There is a period of 4 to 6 weeks in which you can respond, and once that is done, your little one is welcomed to our Chesterhouse family.
- We request that on acceptance of enrolment, you make a deposit payment of R4000.00 (non refundable)
- You will also receive an entrance package informing you of all the details that we require from you about your child.
