OUR PATRON – SIMON SUSMAN
As a proud South African who believes strongly in the powerful influence that a good education can provide to a child’s future life, I have always sought out those organisations which provide such a service to our communities.
In this regard it gives me great pleasure to have been asked by the Gryphon Trust, the outreach arm of Chesterhouse International School, to be the patron of this humanitarian cause and to assist in providing children in disadvantaged communities the benefits of a world class education.
The mission statement of the Gryphon Trust is to provide scholarships so that disadvantaged children have access to a world class education at Chesterhouse International School. It is mine and those that work with the Gryphon Trust’s shared belief that education is the single most important legacy that a parent, a town, a city or a country can leave a child.
With this important message firmly implanted in our very being, and as patron of the Gryphon Trust, I urge you to become involved in this noble cause and look forward in sharing the successes of our mutual endeavours.

PATRON: GRYPHON TRUST
A warm welcome to the Gryphon Trust – the outreach arm of Chesterhouse International School. Chesterhouse has a strong belief in education that extends to all of South Africa’s children. For this reason, we aim to enroll many children from disadvantaged backgrounds into our school and give them opportunities that would be out of their reach. In order to do so, the Gryphon Trust has formed mutually beneficial relationships with those involved in the Chesterhouse community and beyond. It is through these that we have been able to enroll Vejonepher Baard into our Year 7 class from Blue Mountains Primary; a rural school that is under resourced and whose children come from the informal settlement at Phisantekraal or are the children of farm labourers.
As you page through our web page and read about our relationship with Blue Mountains Primary, I urge you to become a part of our efforts and make the life of another child an educational experience of note.
I look forward to meeting you
